The Trump administration’s fluid tariff policies are causing shifts in global trade; however, the outlook for cross-border commerce with Mexico and Canada remains positive. A more intensive use of USMCA by exporters and companies re-shoring operations is expected to prevent significant shifts in U.S. trade with Mexico and Canada from occurring, which has positive implications for industrial demand.
