Fort Lauderdale Re-establishes Itself as One of the Nation’s
Top-Performing Hospitality Markets

Revenue metrics soar to all-time highs. The strong recovery in leisure travel continues to elevate Fort Lauderdale’s lodging sector to new heights. ADR and RevPAR measured on an annual basis surpassed pre-pandemic levels metrowide early this year and have since risen to all-time highs. Additionally, spring break travel brought historic room demand to the metro, with March 2022 becoming the first month on record to exceed 1 million occupied room nights. Although trailing 12-month occupancy remains below pre-health crisis levels, the rate was at 70.6 percent entering June, the fourth highest among all major hospitality markets in the nation. As of May, there were just over 800 rooms underway, accounting for 2.1 percent of existing supply, a rate below the national average of 2.7 percent.
