Corporate and event-driven travel support outlook. Hartsfield-Jackson retained its position as the world’s busiest airport with more than 790,000 passenger airline flights last year. In 2026, volumes are expected to increase during the summer as the FIFA World Cup draws visitors, with more than 500 million tickets requested across the 16 host cities. As a result, CBD RevPAR should see a modest uplift, supported by a surge in pricing in June and July, while new full-service supply, including Hotel Phoenix, helps anchor rates at the upper end of the market. Together, event-driven visitation and strengthening corporate travel in emerging employment hubs such as Alpharetta are projected to support metrowide room demand growth in 2026, following a two-year contraction. However, rising available room supply is expected to temper occupancy, keeping availability roughly on par with the long-term mean. At the same time, Atlanta’s air-hub status and diversified demand base should help limit downside risk.
