Halifax Bypass
The District Office and Tri-County Planning currently have a project in design to address the challenging geometric constraints for trucks turning to or from State Route 147 and State Route 225, particularly as trucks turn right from the eastbound approach of SR 147 and Market Street onto southbound State Route 147 - State Route 225 - 4th Street and trucks turning right from the southbound approach of State Route 225 4th Street onto westbound State Route 147 and Market Street. That project is currently scheduled to go to construction in early 2022. Local officials are interested in working with the potential buyer of the Halifax facility to have PennDOT move the bypass project timeline up, as well as work with the buyer to get state grant funds (RCAP) to further develop our site.

Water and Sewer Service
Future development of the site will include the availability of water and sewer service provided by the township. Preliminary discussions between the Halifax Township and current ownership have outlined total cost of construction and available subsidies. The township has expressed their interest in continuing these discussions with prospective buyers.
