Some of the recent notable developments in the area include: September 2025: Leonardo Helicopters opened a 73,000-square-foot Florida Support Center at Whiting Aviation Park in Santa Rosa County, Florida, next to Naval Air Station Whiting Field. July 2025: The City of Brewton received a $54,961 SEEDS Act grant from the Alabama Department of Commerce for site engineering work at the Brewton Industrial Park, bringing the total project cost to $82,400. The investment aims to prepare the site for future industrial development and help the park compete for larger projects and additional jobs.
