Marcus & Millichap Arranges $11.5M Sale of Aldi and Starbucks-Anchored Retail Strip in Glendale Heights, Illinois

GLENDALE HEIGHTS, Ill., Aug. 31, 2026 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Bloomingdale Plaza, anchored by ALDI and Starbucks, in Glendale Heights, Illinois. The property sold for $11.5 million.
“Bloomingdale Plaza attracted strong investor interest due to its full occupancy, long-term tenant base and net lease structure,” said Austin Weisenbeck, senior managing director. “The property’s established tenancy, recent lease commitments and high consumer traffic positioned it as a stable retail investment opportunity.”
Weisenbeck and Sean Sharko, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a local private investor.
Bloomingdale Plaza is a 15-suite retail center situated on 7.86 acres at 163-217 E. Army Trail Road. The property is 100% occupied and includes a two-tenant outlot anchored by Starbucks, which executed a five-year lease extension beginning in August 2026. Longstanding tenants, ALDI, Boost Mobile and Glendale Medical, have occupied the center for more than 17 years. The center ranks in the top 7% of Illinois strip centers by visits, attracting more than 1.4 million annual visitors.
