Marcus & Millichap Brokers $3.3M Sale of Retail Center in Charlotte Suburb
July 31, 2026
INDIAN TRAIL, N.C., July 31, 2026 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of the Village Shoppes, a retail center in Indian Trail, North Carolina. The asset sold for $3.3 million.
“Our listing process generated strong competition from the outset, ultimately producing double digit offers on the property before the transaction closed at full asking price,” said Harrison Creason, senior director investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Charleston office. “This closing further highlights the sustained demand for well-located retail centers across the Southeast. Our marketing showcased the additional value to be created here over the next several years, and that upside is precisely what made the bidding so competitive.”
Creason, Andrew Margulies and Kyle Carpentier of Marcus & Millichap exclusively marketed the property on behalf of the seller, a private partnership based on the west coast, and procured the buyer, a fund-based private equity group who invests in retail centers nationwide.
Located at 323 Unionville Indian Trail Road, The Village Shoppes consist of 12,075 square feet on a 2.02-acre lot. The property includes two buildings: a retail strip containing seven suites and a freestanding quick service restaurant with a drive-thru. The property is fully occupied by a dental practice, a pet salon and supply store, a performing arts studio and a Little Caesars.
The retail center is situated on a corner at the entrance to a Walmart Supercenter that receives 2.5 million annual visitors, according to Placer.ai data. The Village Shoppes are surrounded by restaurants, retailers and residential communities. Indian Trail is a growing suburb in the Charlotte metropolitan area, approximately 10 miles southeast of uptown Charlotte.
