SYLACAUGA, Ala., June 24, 2026 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of a Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sylacauga, Alabama. The asset sold for $5.8 million.
“This is our second successful transaction with our client,” said Terrence Jefferson, associate director investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Atlanta office. “We sourced a first-time buyer from out-of-state and closed the transaction without any delays.”
Jefferson, Jack Davis and Joce Messinger of Marcus & Millichap, in association with Eddie Greenhalgh, the firm’s broker of record in Alabama, exclusively marketed the property on behalf of the seller and procured the private buyer.
The property is located at 40743 U.S. Route-280 and sits on 1.93 acres. It was built in 2006 and has plans for future renovations as outlined in a property improvement plan. The three-story hotel has 60 guest rooms, including standard rooms and suites. The property includes on-site parking, an indoor pool, a fitness center and an event space.
The property is directly off US-280 near Coosa Valley Medical Center, Talladega Superspeedway and Lake Howard. Major employers in the area include Blue Bell Creameries and Nemak USA.
