Marcus & Millichap Arranges Sale of Net-Leased Restaurant Property in Oak Brook, Illinois

OAK BROOK, Ill., Oct. 23, 2025 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of a net-leased restaurant property, currently occupied by Alter Brewing Co., in Oak Brook, Illinois.
“This sale marks the third transaction our team has completed within Oak Brook Commons for the same seller, following the successful sales of Fogo de Chão and Diamonds Direct,” said Nicholas Kanich, managing director investments. “Alter Brewing will continue operating at the site under a long-term lease, and we remain optimistic about the outlook for well-located retail assets like this one as the market continues to improve.”
Kanich, investment specialist in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Downtown office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the Illinois-based seller.
The property, located at 1170 W. 22nd St. in Oak Brook Commons, is a 9,194-square-foot brewpub built for Alter Brewing Co. in 2022. Founded in 2015, the company operates additional locations in Downers Grove and St. Charles. The Oak Brook site serves as both a restaurant and sour-beer fermentation facility.
