Travis Austin

Travis Austin is a Senior Director in the Houston office of Institutional Property Advisors with over a decade of experience in Commercial Real Estate. Mr. Austin is responsible for establishing his team’s strategic direction, presentation of valuation models, & driving new business development. He has provided advisory services on over 10,000 multi-housing units in addition to transaction volume in excess of $1 billion asset valuations annually.

Prior to Mr. Austin’s career at Institutional Property Advisors, he worked at Jones Lang LaSalle where he provided consultation services for institutions, government agencies, legal counsel, banks, local developers, and private equity firms. With a focus on multi-housing assets, his expertise covered a diverse array of property types including commercial, industrial, & institutional grade assets. While at JLL he served as a member of the National Multi-Housing and National Self-Storage teams & attained Top Achiever Awards in both 2018 & 2019.

Travis received an MBA from Rice University where he served as a Student Ambassador. He also attended The University of Texas at Austin where he received a Bachelor Degree in Economics along with a dual minor in Business and History.

In his spare time, Mr. Austin enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda, twin daughters Reagan & Charlotte, & son James Gregory. He is an avid runner & for leisure enjoys reading, hunting, golfing, playing guitar & investing.
