Stephen Helm

Stephen Helm is an associate investments at Marcus & Millichap’s Houston office. He specializes in multifamily investment sales throughout the Houston MSA, advising clients on acquisition and disposition strategies to help them achieve their commercial real estate objectives. By combining in-depth market knowledge with a results-driven approach, he assists owners in positioning assets to maximize value and execution certainty.

Since joining Marcus & Millichap in 2025, he has distinguished himself through detailed underwriting and proactive market intelligence. With a deep understanding of Houston’s submarkets, including rent comparables and debt trends, he creates strategic optionality for owners. Whether identifying refinancing opportunities, crafting a compelling value-add narrative, or generating competitive buyer tension, his focus remains on delivering measurable outcomes rather than simply facilitating transactions.

A Houston native, Helm studied economics at Southern Methodist University. He is active in the Houston community through Houston’s First Baptist Church and volunteers with various organizations in Houston. In his free time, he enjoys competitive sailing, offshore fishing, fitness training, and spending time on the water in Galveston.
