Sean Sharko

Sean Sharko is a commercial real estate investment broker in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office. He specializes in retail investment sales, net-leased properties and medical investment real estate throughout Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and the broader Midwest. Sean advises private investors, property owners and 1031 exchange buyers on the acquisition and disposition of single-tenant retail, multi-tenant shopping centers, net-leased assets and medical properties.

With more than 22 years of commercial real estate experience, Sean has completed more than 1,098 transactions totaling over $4.58 billion in sales volume since joining Marcus & Millichap in 2004. His extensive market knowledge, transaction experience and consultative approach help clients evaluate opportunities, navigate complex transactions and make informed investment decisions.

Sean takes a proactive, hands-on approach to every assignment, working closely with clients, attorneys, lenders, property managers and other transaction professionals to improve communication, manage the sales process and increase the probability of a successful closing.

In 2009, Sean partnered with Austin Weisenbeck to expand the Sharko | Weisenbeck | Mendoza Group, strengthening the team’s presence in the Midwest retail, net lease and medical investment property markets.

Before joining Marcus & Millichap, Sean was a partner in his family’s third-generation food service business, where he helped grow its corporate client base. A Chicago native, he enjoys spending time with his wife Corine and their collective three children, Mia, Gianna and Anthony.
