Michael Knall

Associate Director Investments

Michael Knall is a commercial real estate investment professional based in Marcus & Millichap’s Phoenix office, specializing in hospitality investment sales. He advises hotel owners, investors, lenders, and institutions on acquisitions, dispositions, and portfolio transactions across the Southwest, Mountain West, and Midwest regions of the United States. As a member of the firm’s National Hospitality Group, Knall specializes in guiding clients through complex hotel investment transactions involving a broad range of hospitality assets and investment strategies.

Since joining Marcus & Millichap in 2020, Knall has participated in the sale of hospitality assets totaling more than $146.4 million in aggregate transaction volume, representing both single-asset and portfolio sales. His experience includes value-add and institutionally marketed hospitality assets, full-service and limited-service hotels, hotel conversions, lender-driven and bank-owned properties, Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 transactions, and development opportunities. Knall works closely with clients to position assets effectively, identify qualified buyers, and execute transactions that align with their investment objectives.

His expertise in hospitality investment sales is complemented by a strong understanding of hotel operations, investment fundamentals, and the market dynamics affecting hotel owners and investors throughout the regions he serves. In recognition of his performance, he received Marcus & Millichap’s Sales Recognition Award in 2025.

Knall earned his degree from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a football scholarship athlete, three-time Big 12 Conference Champion, and First Team Academic All-American. He also competed in the 2006 and 2007 Tostitos Fiesta Bowls and the 2009 BCS National Championship Game. He is an active member of Executive Council Charities, supporting underserved youth and families through community-focused initiatives.
