Mr. McRae brings over 30 years of substantial real estate investment advisory experience and a track record of success. Most recently he served as Managing Director of the Metzler US Real Estate Fund, a $750 million closed-end fund for European pension plans. Mr. McRae directed his team in increasing value and portfolio performance during bull and bear markets through strategic management, leasing and disposition activities. Bankhaus Metzler is Germany's oldest and largest privately held investment bank.
Prior to joining Metzler, Mr. McRae served as Vice President, Asset Management with Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel, Inc., a real estate advisor with nearly $6 billion of commercial real estate assets under management for many of the largest US pension fund clients. There Mr. McRae added value and stability through new development and asset management of over $500 million of institutional investments located throughout the US. His real estate experience includes project development and asset management activities for Sabey Corporation and Beta West Properties, both companies specializing in new development of office and industrial properties.
Mr. McRae received a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. Mr. McRae has and continues to serve his community in various capacities, including serving on the Investment Advisory Committee for the Seattle City Employee Retirement System.
