Dean Giannakopoulos

Dean Giannakopoulos is based in the Chicago Oak Brook office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) . He joined MMCC in March 2011 and has more than 20 years of commercial real estate finance experience. Mr. Giannakopoulos is responsible for securing commercial debt and equity financing for an array of property types including multifamily, retail (single-tenant net-lease and multi-tenant), office, industrial, senior housing and hospitality. He is well connected with national, regional and local funding sources including, but not limited to, agency lenders, commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, mezzanine lenders, private and public funds and bridge lenders.

Since joining MMCC, Mr. Giannakopoulos has closed over $2.5 billion in transaction volume . Mr. Giannakopoulos has ranked as one of the firm’s top 10 loan originators, has been a recipient of the firm's National Achievement Award and consistently received sales recognition awards.

Giannakopoulos holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
