Brian C. Smith, CCIM, SIOR serves as First Vice President Investments and Director of Marcus & Millichap’s Healthcare Real Estate Group and National Office and Industrial Properties Group, based out of Marcus & Millichap’s Denver office.

Brian is an accomplished veteran with over 30 years of real estate experience and has consistently ranked among the top commercial investment sales brokers in the Denver office of Marcus & Millichap, having closed over $400 million in transactions.  He provides clients with the assurance that every decision will be made in the best interest of their investment objectives.

Brian consistently yields market leading results through the implementation of an accelerated marketing plan coupled with the industry’s strongest and most powerful marketing platform.  In depth market knowledge combined with years of experience help Brian best position clients to obtain a premium in the sale of their investment real estate.

His sales expertise ranges across all product types with primary emphasis in Medical Office, Office, Office Flex with secondary emphasis in Industrial, Retail and Hospitality.  He heads a team of real estate investment professionals and marketing assistants focused in the Mountain States region.  

In 2017, 2016 & 2015, Brian earned a National Achievement Award, Sales Recognition Award and ranked in the Top 10 agents nationwide for the Healthcare Real Estate Group and ranked in the Top 20 agents nationwide for the National Office and Industrial Properties Group.

In 2018, Brian was awarded the SIOR designation and membership in the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors®.  For more than 75 years, SIOR has been the most trusted designation in commercial real estate, synonymous with the world’s most elite industrial and office professionals.  Only a select 3,100 industrial and office brokers are recognized as SIOR designees - a peak career achievement for CRE professionals.

The Power of the Pin, additionally in 2015, Brian was awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.  Above all, the CCIM designation represents proven expertise in financial, market, and investment analysis, in addition to negotiation. CCIM designees are recognized as leading experts in commercial investment real estate.  Brian served as the 2017 President of the Colorado/Wyoming CCIM Chapter and is presently a Board Member.

Brian earned an M.B.A, M.S. Finance, M.S. Management & Organization and a B.S. Business from the University of Colorado.  Brian was the Honors recipient of the Dean’s Pursuit of Excellence Scholarship and the Advantage Scholarship from the University of Colorado.

Brian and his wife, Victoria, have a daughter, Hayley.  In his free time, he enjoys traveling, skiing, scuba diving, watching sports, music festivals and spending time with his family.
