Marcus & Millichap Brokers $5.8 Million Sale of Grocery-Anchored Lafayette Retail Center

LAFAYETTE, La., June 10, 2025 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Lafayette Marketplace, a fully occupied, 87,122-square-foot grocery-anchored retail center in Lafayette, Louisiana.

“Grocery-anchored centers, even those with regional grocery credit, remain a highly desirable asset class in retail, as demonstrated by the strong demand for this property,” said Eric Abbott, director, investments. “This property was under LOI within 48 hours of going to market.”

Marcus & Millichap’s Eric Abbott and Zach Taylor represented the seller in the transaction, in association with Steve Greer, Marcus & Millichap’s broker of record in Louisiana.

Lafayette Marketplace, located at 2220–2252 Ambassador Caffery Parkway, is anchored by Super 1 Foods, which occupies 60% of the gross leasable area. Additional tenants include Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Metro by T-Mobile and Ace Cash Express, with an average tenant tenure of 11 years. The property, built in 1995 and updated in 2024, spans 10.19 acres in a rapidly developing submarket near several residential and mixed-use developments, including West Village, a 143-acre master-planned community.
