About Project Destined
Project Destined was founded by former Carlyle Group executive Cedric Bobo and has partnered with leading real estate firms, like Marcus & Millichap, and universities around the country to provide students from all backgrounds with paid, virtual internship opportunities where they can explore the real estate industry and ownership through live real estate deals in various cities across the United States. During the eight-week virtual program, participants interact with real estate professionals and learn the ins and outs of the industry; from cap rates to predicting profit. Students are then placed into teams and present an investor pitch for a multifamily property to a panel of experts “Shark Tank” style.
After completing the program, students use the skills, experience, and connections they made as an onramp to secure internships, full-time employment or apply to be part of programs like our William A. Millichap Fellowship Program, a rigorous 24-month training and development program for up-and-coming commercial real estate professionals.
