Thomas Vollmar

Tommy Vollmar is an Associate on the Gorman Self Storage Group under the National Self-Storage Division at Marcus & Millichap. He holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Louisville and a Doctorate degree from University of Florida. He served as a commissioned officer in the US Army and continues to presently serve in the Georgia Army National Guard as a UH-60 Pilot. Having completed residential real estate projects he developed a passion for real estate investing. In 2022 he made a career change to focus on real estate investments and brokerage by joining the Gorman Self Storage Group.

He started as an analyst and quickly transitioned into Marcus & Millichap’s Sales Intern Program. His primary role was working in tandem with Stacey Gorman, Senior Managing Director Investments. Under her tutelage he received a crash course on the self-storage industry from the 20+ year veteran while gaining first-hand experience with a multitude of self-storage transactions. The team sold 69 storage properties totaling over $407 million in sales across nine states in 2022. He is active in the Georgia Self Storage Association, National Self Storage Trade Shows, and multiple storage networking groups. He brings a diverse background of skillsets and professionalism to help clients grow their self-storage business with the ultimate goal to maximize their return upon the final sale of the property.
