John Paine is the founder of Paine Restaurant Group at Marcus & Millichap, a nationwide restaurant property sales brokerage. His team provides specialized expertise in facilitating the buying and selling of single-tenant net lease restaurant properties nationwide. By concentrating all efforts on restaurant real estate, they offer in-depth knowledge and insights that are crucial for navigating the dynamics and complexities of restaurants to identify risks or maximize property value.

The investment real estate his team sells is leased and operated by tenants like McDonald's, Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Chili's, Burger King, Applebee's, Starbucks, Chipotle, Texas Roadhouse, Jack in the Box, Arby's, Panera Bread, Denny's Whataburger, Outback Steakhouse, Raising Cane's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Kentucky Fried Chicken, IHOP, Popeye's, Dairy Queen and other national brands.

Before joining the firm, Paine worked at Deloitte in Financial Advisory, providing business process advisory services to corporate clients. Paine attended Menlo College, located in Silicon Valley, CA, where he received a bachelor's degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting. Paine graduated Magna Cum Laude and holds the record of Men’s Basketball All-Time Leading Scorer in School History.
