Executive Vice President / National Director of Training and Development
Gene A. Berman is executive vice president and national director of training and development at Marcus & Millichap. In this role, Berman directs the firm’s programs for new agent training and manager development.
Mr. Berman began his career with Marcus & Millichap in 1982 as an agent in the Encino office where he received numerous sales achievement awards before joining the management team. He pioneered the firm’s expansion along the East Coast with the opening of the Fort Lauderdale office in 1997. As regional manager, he led the Fort Lauderdale office to become the top office in the firm within nine years of its opening.
Mr. Berman currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Southeast Florida/ Caribbean chapter of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and is an advisory board member of the NOVA Southeastern University Master of Real Estate Development Program. He is also an active member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP).
Mr. Berman received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California. He also has a Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
