RUSSELL MALAYERY, CCIM, CIPS
ATLANTA, GEORGIA

Russell Malayery, CCIM, is currently a Director of Netleased Properties Group  at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services in Atlanta Georgia. He provides counsel for local, regional and international clients in acquisition and disposition, strategic planning, broker selection, portfolio analysis and risk reduction, value enhancement, and tax-deferred exchanges. Malayery advises clients range from private investors to institutional investors, and his product specialties include retail investments and Net-leased investments nationwide.

Malayery began his real estate career in 1984, having worked with Weichert REALTORS®, RE/MAX Commercial, Coldwell Banker, and Buckhead Brokers International. He has advised on a variety of transactions and has extensive experience with various investment structures. In addition to commercial real estate and investment, Malayery has broad practice as a computer engineer, having previously worked for AT&T, IBM, and Siemens.

Beyond his own business activities, Malayery is very active in the community and the CCIM organization. He has been a contributing member of the Georgia CCIM Chapter for numerous years and served as the Chapter president in 2005. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Jay W. Levine Leadership Development Academy. He has been on many committees including: Board of Directors, Strategic Planning Committee, Designation Committee, Cultural Diversity Advisory Board, Comprehensive Exam Proctor, and a Representative to the NAR International Coordinating Committee. Malayery has served as the Georgia CCIM Chapter president, secretary, treasurer and scholarship chair. For the Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® he has served on the Technology Committee, Education Committee, Professional Standards Committee, Membership Committee, Data Services Committee, and Board of Directors.

Malayery has directly participated in assorted fundraising activities for the Children's Miracle Network, the American Cancer Society, the USO, and Hosea Feed the Hungry in Atlanta. He also coached his children's youth sports teams when they were younger. Malayery is married, and he and his wife together have one daughter and five sons. He holds a BS in Mathematics and graduated from George Washington University and Rutgers University with an MS in Computer Science. Malayery also holds the CIPS designation.
