Nate was recruited as the first broker to to join Marcus & Millichap's office in The Woodlands. As a specialist in the market with 10+ years of experience in the disposition of office and retail property, Nate adds value for his clients by combining his local knowledge with Marcus & Millichap's national platform.
Prior to joining the firm, Nate was a highly successful commercial real estate broker at Foldetta Commercial (Woodlands Commercial Realty) for five years. During his tenure there, Nate facilitated over 60 individual acquisitions, dispositions, and leases (representing both landlords and tenants) across a broad spectrum including office, retail, medical, industrial, land, and development. Before entering into commercial real estate, Nate started and sold two investment company syndicates that invested in China and Costa Rica.
"I enjoy challenging assignments. Clients don't engage me to be an order-taker - they expect me to be actively involved in the process. When I am listing a property, they expect me to understand how to aggressively underwrite financials to present a positive picture to the marketplace, while still being realistic. It doesn't do anyone any favors when a property is listed at a price that is undeliverable. In the same way, buyers expect me to be able to cut through to the heart of a deal and understand the moving parts. This usually means underwriting economics differently on a purchase, identifying upside opportunities, and working with the seller's representative to negotiate the best deal for both parties."
When not working, Nate enjoys sailing, reading, golf, fitness, traveling, and being active in his church.
Nate is widely traveled and has been to 57 countries.
