Michael DiSimone

Overview



Michael DiSimone has been involved in various facets of real estate since beginning his career in 2000. He has been involved in the acquisition, disposition, development, marketing, tax compliance, and management of properties located throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas, and Florida. 
Prior to his current position with Marcus & Millichap Mr. DiSimone was a Senior Vice President at JRK Property Holdings, an apartment owner and operator that owns and manages over 42,000 units nationwide and was recently ranked as one of the National Multi-Housing Counsel's largest owners of apartments in the nation.
At JRK Property Holdings, Mr. DiSimone oversaw a portfolio of market rate and tax credit multifamily units and gained extensive experience in all aspects of asset management including: the acquisition and disposition of properties, revenue and expense optimization, multimillion-dollar renovation programs, accounting and reporting, on-site operations, human resources, and employee training. In addition, Mr. DiSimone was instrumental in assisting with the development of an industry leading third party management agreement which more closely aligned owner and asset manager interests, and enabled the explosive growth of JRK from 12 properties to 170 properties over the span of two years. 
Prior to JRK Residential Group, Mr. DiSimone was employed by D.R. Horton (NYSE: DHI), America's number one homebuilder by volume, as a Land Acquisition Associate. At D.R. Horton, Mr. DiSimone was part of a two person team responsible for the acquisition of approximately $150 million in land and entitled properties which were suitable for single family residential, condominium, or mixed use residential projects. 
Mr. DiSimone has also held various positions at RSM McGladrey, Inc. (NYSE: HRB) as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) where he was involved in the tax return preparation process for various domestic entities and individuals, researched various business transactions and related tax issues, and prepared monthly financials for a variety of business types. 
Mr. DiSimone holds advanced degrees from Golden Gate University School of Law and San Diego State University.
