Matthew Porter

Matt Porter has served in the self-storage industry as a broker for five years. Matt has brokered 32 self-storage transactions approximately valued at $42 million. Matt graduated from the University of Mississippi where he earned degrees in Banking and Finance, Managerial Finance, as well as a degree in Real Estate.

He entered into the real estate world as an intern with Randall Commercial Group, a commercial real estate firm local to Oxford, Mississippi. After his time with Randall Commercial, he moved to Memphis where he joined forces with the largest single family home owner/operator in the south. Matt managed the value assessment of investment homes and oversaw the complete renovation process to determine whether the properties should be sold or kept to rent.​ In 2019, Matt joined Marcus and Millichap where he serves as an agent representing owner/operators and investors in the acquisition, disposition and financing of self-storage assets.

Having grown up in Madison, Mississippi, Matt focuses his time and energy in Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana, where he feels he has the most market knowledge. When Matt isn't working you will most likely find him on the golf course.
