James Sotos

Overview

Jim Sotos joined the Chicago office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) in March 2006. As an associate director with MMCC, Mr. Sotos is responsible for securing commercial debt financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office and industrial, retail, seniors housing and hospitality. He is well connected with national, regional and local funding sources including, but not limited to, agency lenders (e.g. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and bridge lenders.

Mr. Sotos has more than 26 years of commercial real estate finance experience. He specializes in structuring multifamily, retail, industrial and office products, as well as other special purpose properties. Prior to joining MMCC, Mr. Sotos served for 20 years as vice president of Draper and Kramer Corporation in Chicago.
 
Mr. Sotos is a graduate of Depaul University in Chicago, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and management.  He holds a state of Illinois real estate broker’s license, and is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the National Multi Housing Council.
