Howard H. Wiese

Overview

Howard brings over 30 years of commercial real estate experience to his current position as Vice President Investments and Senior Director of the National Office and Industrial Property Group with Marcus & Millichap. Previous positions include U.S. Director of Real Estate Investment at Manulife Financial and Regional Vice President at Balcor.

Accomplishments include having acted as broker or principal in over 120 investment transactions. This represents over 7,800,000 square feet of office, industrial, and retail properties that Howard has sold. In 2001, Howard ranked second in production in office and industrial investment sales out of 600 agents nationally with Marcus & Millichap and was a National Achievement Award winner. In his outstanding tenure with Marcus & Millichap, Howard has sold leased investments valued at over $700 Million. In 2004, Howard was promoted to the rank of Senior Investment Associate (SIA) and in 2005 named Senior Director of the National Office and Industrial Properties Group.

Howard successfully completed several complex acquisitions of key land parcels located in the Central Business Districts of major metropolitan areas. An example is the assembly of 1/2 city block at Fifth St and Figueroa St, Los Angeles, California, for the purpose of development of a 400,000 square foot office building. In addition to the land acquisition, Howard was personally responsible for both the initial leasing and the operation of this development which was 50% pre-leased upon opening and 100% leased 18 months following completion of construction.

As part of his earlier career accomplishments, Howard successfully negotiated over 500 leases. The largest such transaction was a 120,000 square foot office lease in Schaumburg, Illinois, with Ameritech Mobile Cellular Communications, Inc. Total consideration was approximately $60,000,000. A group of office leasing specialists headed by Howard at an international real estate company was named Real Estate Achiever of the Year in 1991 by Metro Chicago Real Estate magazine.
