Emil Iskandar joined the Newport Beach office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) as a director in October 2014. In this role, Mr. Iskandar secures commercial debt and equity financing for an array of hospitality properties, including full-, select- and limited-service hotels, resort hotel properties and golf courses, on behalf of clients nationwide. Mr. Iskandar has established strong relationships with a variety of national, regional and local funding sources including commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurancecompanies, private and public funds and hard money lenders. Mr. Iskandar has more than 10 years of commercial real estate finance experience, focused on the hospitality sector. Prior to joining MMCC, Mr. Iskandar served as a vice president with HVS CapitalCorp. in Denver, formerly Sonnenblick Goldman. Over the course of his career, Mr. Iskandar has arranged CRE financing valued in excess of $1 billion. He received an M.B.A. from the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Parahyangan University, Indonesia.
