David Altobello

David Altobello joined the Washington, DC office of Marcus & Millichap in May 2019. As a First Vice President, Mr. Altobello is responsible for national investment sales, debt placement/advisory and structured equity placements with a concentration in the hospitality industry. He is well connected with institutional and private clients.

Mr. Altobello has over 25 years of experience in the hotel real estate industry and has been instrumental in structuring more than $2 billion in real estate transactions. His experience spans investment sales, acquisitions and advisory assignments and has provided financial feasibility, valuation, capital sourcing, and strategic planning services. He has served both public and private enterprises in various assignments.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Mr. Altobello served as Managing Director, at Newmark Knight Frank Lodging Capital Markets. He returned to advisory services after serving as Senior Vice President, Acquisitions & Development with Interstate Hotels & Resorts where he focused on identifying acquisition and management contract opportunities. He began his investment sales career serving clients for over eight years with Rockwood Real Estate Advisors and Molinaro Koger, both leading hotel real estate brokerage, advisory and capital markets firms. Previously, he was a Director for Marriott International where he managed financial issues, due diligence, pre- and post-closing matters for transactions between Marriott and third parties. He has also held positions at Reznick Group, PC, The Carlyle Group and Coopers & Lybrand.

Mr. Altobello holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University. He holds an Associate Broker license in both Maryland and Virginia.
