Colton Smith

Overview

Colton Smith joined the Salt Lake City office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) in July 2006. As an associate director with MMCC, Mr. Smith is responsible for securing commercial debt financing for an array of property types including multifamily, office and industrial, retail, seniors housing and hospitality. He is well connected with national, regional and local funding sources including, but not limited to, agency lenders (e.g. Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac), commercial banks, CMBS lenders, life insurance companies, private and public funds and bridge lenders.

Mr. Smith has more than 10 years of commercial real estate finance experience. He specializes in permanent financing for multifamily, office, manufactured housing, retail and self-storage products, including hard money transactions, land acquisition and construction. Prior to joining MMCC, Mr. Smith founded the commercial lending division for a Salt Lake City real estate conglomerate.

Mr. Smith is a graduate of the University of Utah, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in public relations. He also earned an M.B.A. from the University of Denver with an emphasis in finance and real estate and construction management.
