Brian has 20 years in institutional sales and investment advisory experience. He began his career on Wall Street focused conducting institutional sales with investment banks including Merrill Lynch and First Boston. He specialized in derivative products and program trading for a limited number of high-priority clients.

Brian moved to Portland in 1995 and continued his career in institutional sales with several regional investment banks including Black & Company and Wells Fargo Securities. Although Brian continued in sales, he switched his focus from derivatives products to equity research product. The majority of his work focused on equity research on the retail, footwear, semiconductor, telecommunications, and medical device sectors.

In 2008, Brian transitioned into investment research with Greycourt, a high-net-worth advisory firm. He Conducted investment research including the sourcing, evaluating and monitoring of hedge fund, private equity, and other alternative investments. Brian identified best-in-class managers, assessed risk and made specific portfolio recommendations to advisors and clients.
