Nathan Whalen represents Marcus & Millichap in the exclusive sale of investment single-tenant net leased and multi-tenant retail properties throughout the United States. Since joining Marcus & Millichap in June of 2005, Nathan has been involved in the closing of over 175 transactions and over $250 million in sales. In 2011 and 2014, Mr. Whalen was the top listing agent and closed more retail transactions than any other agent in the Indianapolis office. In 2012, Nathan was promoted to Senior Associate, a distinction awarded to only the top 20% of agents in the company. In 2013, Nathan was the top overall agent in the Indianapolis office and one of the top agent's in the Midwest for single-tenant net leased and multi-tenant retail investment properties. In 2015, Nathan was promoted to Associate Vice President Investments. Nathan is a Director of both the National Retail Group and Net Leased Properties Group and is a member of the Special Asset Services Group. He is also a member of ICSC and is involved with Riley Children's Hospital philanthropic group, Friends of Riley and has been intimately involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Nathan's education discipline comes from Indiana University where he was a finance and management major. Nathan resides in Carmel, IN with his wife, Kelly, and their three children Mckayla, Lincoln, and Declan.

Jeremie Johnson specializes in the representation of clients buying and selling single & multi-tenant retail, and office properties. Jeremie joined Marcus & Millichap in Jan. 2010 and brings over twelve years of experience in commercial real estate and development to the table. Jeremie brings extensive knowledge of site selection, construction costs and time lines in addition to his understanding of investment brokerage. Previously, Jeremie led expansion of national retail company that spanned over 22 states with 64 locations. Jeremie resides in Danville with his son Nikolas, and two daughters Kiersten and Karin. Jeremie's education background consists of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he received a degree in Management of Technical Operations and Safety Program Management as well as Business Administration. Damien Yoder is a real estate investment advisor specializing in the sale of single-tenant and multi-tenant retail investment properties throughout the Midwestern United States. Damien joined Marcus & Millichap in the summer of 2011 and brings a unique financial perspective to the investment brokerage business. Damien's previous experience in accounting and finance allow him to provide his clients with a high-level of financial analysis and strategic real estate advisory. He also has over five years of experience in real estate property management during and after attending college. Mr. Yoder is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Urban Land Institute (ULI) Young Leader's Group, and the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA). Blake joined Marcus & Millichap upon graduating from Indiana University. There, Mr. Palma received his degree in Business Management, with a minor in Business from the Kelley School of Business. His experience includes working on a team with two of the Midwest's top retail agents, Nathan Whalen and Jeremie Johnson. Since 2005, Nathan Whalen's retail team has closed over 175 transactions and more than $250 million in sales. Mr. Palma plays an integral role in establishing new business development and asset marketing for the group. Tim Christensen has over twenty years experience in the commercial real estate industry, with an extensive and varied background in leasing, brokerage and investment sales and development. His experience includes representing owners and tenants in the retail, office and industrial markets, with a substantial client list that includes FedEx, Franciscan St. Francis, Travelers Corporation, Ashland/Valvoline and a wide variety of retail users. In addition, he served as the marketing director for a 230 acre Class A mixed use development on the northeast side of the city, a joint venture between an Indianapolis based national developer and Norfolk Southern railroad. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap in 2010, Tim was a development manager for a major national developer of FedEx Ground facilities across the eastern half of the United States. Today he puts that expertise and background to work on behalf of clients assisting them with the creation and positioning of their investment assets and holdings.
Madison Shurtz joined Marcus & Millichap in November 2014 and is a participant in the associate candidate program. She specializes in single- and multi-tenant retail acquisitions and dispositions in northern Indiana. Her main responsibilities are new business development, marketing, underwriting, branding and new client relations while also assisting Nathan Whalen and Jeremie Johnson in their day-to-day business. Madison graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in International Studies and a Certificate in Business Foundations from the Kelley School of Business. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN and now lives in Indianapolis, IN.
Julia Evinger is an Investment Associate in the Indianapolis office of Marcus & Millichap. She specializes in the acquisition, disposition and exchange of investment grade office, medical office, industrial and retail properties primarily throughout the Midwest with a focus on Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin. Julia has been in real estate since 2009, previously she was licensed in Wisconsin. In Indiana, Julia worked for a national brokerage firm, earning sales awards every year. In addition to sales success, Julia has served on several boards as a Director and Trustee representing the interests of private property owners and local communities as well as the real estate industry. She studied Business Administration at Loyola University of Chicago and is a CCIM Institute Member and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
Marketing Coordinator - Licensed Assistant
Carrie specializes in the marketing, advertising, and branding for all seven team members listed below in the Indianapolis office of Marcus & Millichap. She is intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of each listing and is also responsible for client/database management, assists with transaction coordination and due diligence timelines, and is involved with assisting in new market development. Carrie joined Marcus & Millichap in January of 2016 and has over 10 years of residential real estate and property management experience. She has been extremely successful in implementing and executing marketing and management strategies that grow revenue and overall bottom line net profits. Carrie is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the Indiana Apartment Association.
