Overview

Benjamin W. Wilson began working with Josh Feldman at Marcus & Millichap in 2007. He specializes in the sale of retail, office and mixed-use properties, as well as proposed development sites, with experience in Washington, D.C.’s rapidly transforming neighborhoods and commercial corridors, including but not limited to Shaw, Georgia Avenue NW, 14th Street NW and H Street NE. In his tenure, Wilson has represented national financial institutions and banks, local regional and national developers, and advised private investors in the management of their portfolios. His understanding of the entitlement process combined with his experience in dealing with owner/operators has allowed him to service the D.C. region’s unusually large percentage of business operators who also own their real estate. He has successfully guided many of these owners as they leverage their real estate assets to help grow their business or prepare for transition. His experience affords him a strong understanding of seller options and strategies; Wilson is capable of advising his clients on 1031-exchanges, sale-leasebacks, sensitive tenant interactions, etc. Having both lived and worked internationally after living in the D.C. area for the better part of two decades, Wilson brings to the table a unique perspective on the industry, the market’s fluctuations and the evolving nature D.C.’s historic communities.
