Will Balthrope is a vice president investments at Marcus & Millichap and senior director of the firm's National Multi Housing Group. He possesses more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in multi-family property sales. Since 2003, Mr. Balthrope has closed more than $2.8 billion in multi-family transactions nationally for both private and institutional sellers, including banks and special servicers.

Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, he was a top producer for Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. Balthrope's success ranked him as C&W's #1 apartment broker in the nation in 2003, as well as the Dallas office's #1 producer out of all brokers from 2003-2005. In his first year at Marcus & Millichap, he was ranked the top producer for the firm in Texas.

Mr. Balthrope appears frequently as a guest speaker at industry events and is often quoted in the media. His client list includes REITs, pension funds, private investment companies, local and national investors, banks, special servicers, and receivers.

Mr. Balthrope holds an MBA degree, with an emphasis in real estate, from Southern Methodist University, and received his bachelor's degree in English from the Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Balthrope currently serves as Chairman of the Silver Multi Family Council of the ULI, and is a long-time member of the National Multi Housing Council.
