In the last eight years, Ron had 52 commercial closings totaling $151.6 million. Twice in five years, Ron sold the Greyhound Headquarters building. The first transaction, in 2004, took 62 days to complete from the Property’s Announcement. It sold for the list price of $11.95 million. After Greyhound announced their intention to move their offices, thereby changing the dynamics of the investment for the owner, Ron was given the opportunity to sell the property again. This sale occurred during a difficult credit crisis, yet Ron secured 20 offers and he ultimately closed a successful transaction for his client. Ron’s economic understanding of current market conditions, office assets and businesses, paired with Marcus & Millichap’s access to the nationwide market, is a powerful combination that allows office and industrial real estate owners the opportunity to maximize value and minimize marketing time. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Ron was a Sales Manager and National Account Sales Executive with Sprint, HP and other Fortune 100 companies. Ron has experience negotiating large, complex contracts of over $250 million in value. He was the lead sales executive for several large accounts such as Verizon, TU Electric and Northern Telecom, and sold more than $191 million of technology products and services combined.
In 2010, 2008, 2007 and 2005, Ron was recognized for his achievements as one the Top Ten Brokers in the Dallas office of Marcus & Millichap, and as one of the Top Twenty brokers in Marcus & Millichap's National Office & Investment Group in both 2008 and 2007. In April 2009, Ron was recognized by the Dallas Business Journal with the Heavy Hitters 2009 Top Producers Award. He started with Marcus & Millichap in 2003, was promoted to Associate in 2004, promoted to Senior Associate and invited to join the Health Care Real Estate Group of Marcus & Millichap in 2007, promoted to Director in 2008, promoted to Associate Vice President Investments in 2009 and promoted to Vice President Investments in 2010. In addition, Ron served as an expert witness and helped a client establish the property's value in an insurance lawsuit, and assisted another client in a condemnation case against the State of Texas Department of Transportation. Annually he and his staff provide detail valuations for approximately 100 Dallas/Fort Worth office and industrial properties for private owners, institutions, banks, special servicers, and other financial institutions.
