Michael Yu has extensive experience exclusive to the hotel industry. He began his career in the hospitality industry in the early 90's as a front office manager of a full service hotel in Cleveland, Ohio. Due to his job performance, he was quickly promoted to general manager then district manager, supervising eight properties owned by a private hotel investment group. In 1997, Mr. Yu became the Vice President of the company and was responsible for asset management and hotel development. Over the following five years, Michael completed over 20 transactions for the company; including acquisition, disposition, repositioning, and new construction. He gained substantial knowledge and a deep understanding of various aspects of hotel management and transactions.

With this wealth of hotel operations and transaction experience, Michael is well prepared to provide exceptional hotel investment brokerage services for his clients as a Vice President of Investments at Marcus & Millichap.
