Michael J. Early is a Vice President Investments with Marcus & Millichap and
specializes in the representation of investment properties throughout the Mid-
Atlantic Region. Michael has experience handling the disposition of shopping
centers; multi-family communities; office buildings; single-tenant net-leased;
mixed-use buildings; as well as buildings occupied by State and Federal
Government.
In 2006, Early was selected by Marcus & Millichap to circumvent oversight by
regional management and report directly to the corporate officers of the firm.
Michael is the highest sales volume producer within the Commonwealth of
Virginia at Marcus & Millichap. Spanning a twelve year real estate career, his
experience encompasses disciplines across the entire spectrum of commercial real
estate, to include but not limited to: investment sales, development consulting,
financial underwriting, property appraisal, litigation support, lease origination or
auditing, and tax appeals.
In 1996, Early received a Bachelor of Arts & Science degree in Speech
Communication from the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts, at San
Diego State University. Michael was a Collegiate Forensics (debate) Academic
and was certified in Parliamentary Procedure at the university level. Continuing
real estate education has been pursued through the Appraisal Institute, Chicago,
IL. Studies have included such issues as: Appraisal for Litigation, Income
Capitalization, Appraisal Principles & Procedures, as well as Uniform Code of
Professional Appraisal Practices & Ethics.
Prior to the opening of Marcus & Millichap of Virginia, Michael was the top
volume producer in 2002 and 2nd ranked gross income producer in 2004 for the
Washington, D.C. office of Marcus & Millichap. Early was the top retail agent at
Marcus & Millichap Washington, D.C. from 2002 – 2005. Michael has been
involved in the disposition, acquisition and contract analysis of properties across
ten States and the District of Columbia, totaling an aggregate value exceeding $2
Billion throughout the course of his career.
