Jamie B. May (JBM) - Senior Director

Jamie B. May (JBM) is Senior Director of IPA. Jamie specializes in multihousing investment sales with a primary focus on Florida and the Southeast while assisting clients with assignments nationally.

Prior to joining IPA, Jamie was Founder, Chairman & CEO of JBM Realty Advisors, Inc (JBMRA). His experience draws upon three generations of the May family apartment brokerage and development business dating back to 1939, in addition to his own 22 years of experience in brokerage, investment advisory, construction, development, disposition, acquisition, lending and management of institutional grade apartment communities.

Jamie has represented numerous well known domestic and foreign institutional funds, sovereign funds, pension funds and their advisors, REITS, insurance companies, private national, regional owners, and merchant builders throughout the southern United States. Some of his repetitive clientele include; TGM and Associates, Equity Residential Properties Trust, Bank of America, UBS Realty Advisors, Greystar Real Estate Partners, ING Clarion, Fairfield Residential, Forest City Residential, TA Associates, Heitman Financial, CAPREIT, Waterton Associates, Jupiter Realty, BH Equities, Tarragon Realty Investors, Sawyer, UDR and CMS.

Jamie is an active broker, investment advisor, and strategist in the marketing and disposition of institutional grade apartment communities on an exclusive seller representation “only” basis. He has participated in numerous multifamily investment property sales with an aggregate value of nearly $5 billion. Jamie currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), and is an active member of Pension Real Estate Association (PREA), Mortgage Bankers Association, Real Estate Investment Council, Inc (REIC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), National Apartment Association, and Florida Apartment Association.

Jamie is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Real Estate. Additionally, he is a licensed real estate broker in Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Tennessee and Alabama. In 2008, Jamie and his family moved from Naples to Tampa, FL. His interests include snow skiing, boating, shooting, scuba diving, club lacrosse and an extraordinary fascination with airplanes.

Ryan Studzinski - Associate Director of Transactions

Ryan Studzinski is Associate Director of Transactions for The JBM Group of Institutional Property Advisors. His primary responsibilities include the sourcing, listing, marketing and closing of large conventional and tax exempt bond financed multifamily properties for institutional and private principals as well as lenders, special servicers and government agencies. His inherent focus includes physical property analysis, financial underwriting, market surveillance, investor relations, due diligence coordination, onsite tours, as well as transaction management for property dispositions.

Ryan has worked in the real estate industry for over a decade and has a strong track record for success in property development, brokerage, acquisitions, and operations. His varied career includes working within nearly all sectors of real estate throughout the Southeastern  United States.

Prior to joining IPA, Ryan previously worked for two esteemed multifamily development companies – The Zaremba Group and Miles Development Partners. He was involved in the development and construction of over 1,000 apartment and condominium units throughout Tampa Bay, with a combined project value exceeding $250M. Some of these well-known, award winning developments included Vintage Lofts at West End - 248 units and Casa Bella on Westshore - 250 units in Tampa, Tortuga Pointe - 295 units and The Sage - 112 units, in St.  Petersburg. These projects were diversified in product type including adaptive reuse, conventional garden style apartments, and urban infill midrise as well as high-rise developments. Ryan is an experienced brokerage professional and has spent several years in various financial analyst roles within the commercial real estate arena. Ryan began his career with IBM in their corporate real estate group, based in Atlanta, Georgia and serving the Southeastern US.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University in Engineering, a Master’s Degree from The Georgia Institute of Technology in Building Construction and a Master’s Degree in Real Estate from Georgia State University.  He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, National Multihousing Council and holds a Florida Real Estate Brokerage License. Ryan resides in Tampa and enjoys golfing, skeet, kayaking, white water rafting, kite surfing, and volleyball in his free time.

Eddie Yang - Associate Director of Transactions

Eddie Yang is Associate Director of Transactions for The JBM Group of IPA. His direct responsibilities include calculated property analysis, financial evaluation underwriting, market surveillance, due diligence coordination involving the disposition of institutional grade “A” and “B” conventional, tax exempt bond financed, distressed properties and loans for principals, lenders, special servicers, and government agencies as well as direct contact with sellers, prospective purchasers and property tours. Furthermore, Eddie is an advisory member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), Urban Land Institute, and the Real Estate Investment Council.   

Prior to joining the JBM team, Eddie was the Senior Financial Analyst at CB Richard Ellis - Florida Multihousing Group and specialized in valuation and disposition of institutional multi-housing properties, fractured and stalled garden and mid/high rise condominium properties, and loan sales of over 7,000 units with an aggregate value of over $635 million. In addition, he was a member of the Debt and Equity Finance Group where he underwrote properties for debt financing according to Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae standards.

Before entering the brokerage and advisory industry, Eddie was employed with Fifteen Land and Development where he was involved in multifamily acquisitions/dispositions, structured financing, and land development. Eddie also previously worked for JP Morgan in New York as an investment banking analyst and advisor.

Eddie received his Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the state of Florida. His interests include public speaking, tennis, golf, white water rafting, rock climbing, snow biking and snow boarding off marker.

Brian McMillan - Transaction Manager / Financial Analyst

Brian McMillan is a Transaction Manager and Financial Analyst for the JBM Group of Institutional Property Advisors. Brian is responsible for the team’s valuation and strategic financial underwriting
and modeling, marketing, creation, production and distribution of property offering memoranda, photography, market research, as well as the quarterly distribution of the BrokerEdge newsletter. He also serves as a team liaison within the brokerage team, as well as with prospective purchasers and sellers
by conducting property orientations, registration, onsite tours, and coordination of due diligence throughout the listing, marketing and closing of each transaction.

Prior to joining the JBM team, Brian served as Executive Vice President at BRS Acquisitions where he was responsible for securing equity and identifying multifamily development opportunities in the Southeastern
United States. As Vice President of Finance for Cantor Development he structured $127 million in construction financing for the iconic Signature Place condominium tower in St. Petersburg,  Florida. His entry into real estate brokerage came as part of Cushman & Wakefield’s Financial Services Group where he participated in investment sale transactions and the leasing of two million square feet of institutionally owned industrial property. This followed distinguished work as an analyst with Legg Mason’s mortgage banking group where he underwrote over $200 million in debt financing for multifamily, office and retail properties on behalf of insurance companies and Wall Street conduit lenders.

Brian earned his MBA with honors from The University of Tampa and Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate from Florida  State University.  He and his wife, Robin, reside in Tampa,  FL with their two boys, Alex and Andrew. Brian enjoys biking, club lacrosse, fishing, swimming, diving and cooking.

Logan Kearney - Transaction Manager / Marketing Coordinator

Logan Kearney is a Transaction Manager and Marketing Coordinator for the JBM Group of Institutional Property Advisors. Logan is responsible for the team’s valuation and strategic financial underwriting and modeling, marketing, creation, production and distribution of property offering memoranda, photography, market research, as well as the quarterly distribution of the BrokerEdge newsletter. He also serves as a team liaison within the brokerage team, as well as with prospective purchasers and sellers by conducting property orientations, registration, onsite tours, and coordination of due diligence throughout the listing, marketing and closing of each transaction.

Prior to joining the JBM team, Logan served as a Portfolio Manager at the Kearney Companies where he researched investment opportunities in the Southeastern United States. As a Portfolio Manager, he specialized in valuation of acquisitions and dispositions for industrial and commercial warehouses. He was responsible for managing portfolios with an aggregate value of over $50M. In addition, he was responsible for finding tenants to occupy the warehouses and negotiating the lease agreements.

His experience in real estate draws from three generations of the Kearney family, dating back to 1950. His entry into the real estate industry came in 2005 when he received his Florida Real Estate Salesperson License. Logan also holds a Florida Mortgage Broker license from 2008.

Logan earned his MBA degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from The University of Tampa. He and his wife, Tara, reside in Tampa and are both Tampa natives. In his free time, Logan enjoys competitive racing, extreme off-roading, bowling, swimming and chess.
