Jake Steele serves as the Associate Director and Partner of Marcus & Millichap's Special Assets Group. He is currently based in Denver where he facilitates the national platform for bankruptcy and distressed property situations. The program incorporates sales agents from around the country to provide a combination of local market expertise and broad national market coverage. Mr. Steele has an established track record of maximizing value in distressed situations and in bankruptcy engagements. He has extensive bankruptcy and transactional experience in an array of real property transactions including hotel, office, retail, multifamily and commercial development properties in a number of markets across the country. Jake received his BA from Middlebury College and completed his Juris doctorate at the University of Montana School of Law and Seattle University School of Law. Mr. Steele is a licensed attorney in Washington and a licensed California real estate broker.

Mr. Steele is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and most recently spoke at the 7th Annual Distressed Investing Summit in New York.
