Howard brings over 25 years of commercial real estate experience to his current position as a Vice President - Investments with Marcus & Millichap. Previous positions include Regional Vice President, Director of Real Estate Investment, and Real Estate Agent with national corporations such as Balcor, ManuLife Financial, and Cushman & Wakefield.

Personal qualifications include a B.S. Electrical Engineering, University of Illinois and MBA Finance, University of Illinois. Howard has received the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation and the Real Property Adviser (RPA) designation.
Howard has successfully completed several complex acquisitions of key land parcels located in the Central Business Districts of major metropolitan areas. An example is the assembly of 1/2 city block at Fifth St and Figueroa St, Los Angeles, California, for the purpose of development of a 400,000 square foot office building. In addition to the land acquisition, Howard was personally responsible for both the initial leasing and the operation of this development which was 50% pre-leased upon opening and 100% leased 18 months following completion of construction.

As part of his earlier career accomplishments, Howard has successfully negotiated over 500 leases. The largest such transaction was a 120,000 square foot office lease in Schaumburg, Illinois, with Ameritech Mobile Cellular Communications, Inc. Total consideration was approximately $60,000,000.
