In 1990, Mr. LeClaire joined Marcus & Millichap,specializing in self-storage brokerage. He has closed transactions ranging from a $200,000,000 RTC portfolio to a $1,000,000 self-storage facility. From 2004 through 2010, Mr. LeClaire has closed over $1 billion worth of self-storage properties.

Mr. LeClaire has a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Wisconsin and currently holds the title of Senior Vice President Investments. He has won numerous awards from Marcus & Millichap including the coveted Chairman's Circle of Excellence Award in 2004 as well as the National Achivement Award in 1999 and 2000,2003 to 2008 and 2010.

Mr. LeClaire also headed the Colorado Self Storage Owners Group for 10 years, is a member of the National Council of the Self-Storage Association, and along with Marcus & Millichap is an active sponsor of the Self Storage Association. He spends many pro bono hours writing articles for trade publications, giving presentations at self-storage industry gatherings and advising individual companies considering entrance into the industry.
