Steve Chaben is a senior vice president and managing director of Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services. He also serves as the Midwestern regional director of the firm’s Special Assets Services (SAS) division and oversees the company’s Midwest offices. In addition, he is the Eastern U.S. director of the firm’s National Office and Industrial Properties Group. Mr. Chaben joined the firm in 1997 as a regional manager and was charged with establishing the Detroit office and sales force. Since the establishment of the Detroit office, Mr. Chaben has overseen more than 1,100 transactions valued at $5.1 billion. He was named vice president of the firm in 2000, became first vice president in 2004 and was elected as a managing director in 2009. Mr. Chaben is a graduate of Wayne State University and received a juris doctor degree from the Detroit College of Law.
