Marketing Coordinator.......................................

Nature & Scope:

The overall purpose of this position is to increase Marcus & Millichap agents’ awareness and utilization of company tools and resources.  The Marketing Coordinator provides support to agents and agent assistants in the REIS office in the area of marketing, including advertising and public relations and agents’ utilization of Marcus & Millichap marketing tools.  The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Operations Manager, however, much of the Marketing Coordinator’s time will be spent with the Regional Manager.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Coordinator must gain and display superior knowledge in the following areas and provide direct assistance and training to agents and assistants:

  • Must be aware of and skilled in the use of the firm’s research, technology and marketing tools.
  • Provide ongoing training and workshops in the use of company tools to agents and assistants.  Ongoing schedule to be developed and published locally.
  • Promote and communicate new company tools, updates, upcoming events and other developments throughout the office, including a periodic update in the sales meetings, the use of local MMWEB web site and coffee room/kitchen bulletin board.
  • Assist agents and their staff in the actual utilization of various tools in key proposals and presentations.
  • Assist the regional manager in local public relations activities including local press releases, local symposium promotion and tracking local media contacts.
  • Act as liaison between the office and the communications department to include updating of agent information in MNet for various events, coordinating office participation and submission of information related to conferences and events, ordering of sales aids for the agents, web site updates and maintenance, mailings and client list management.
  • Fully cross-trained in Client Services Coordinator, Agent Support Trainer and Operations Manager duties according to those job descriptions.
  • Extensive knowledge of the company’s editorial style guide.
  • Assist agents with binding and mailing for large size package mailers, i.e., marketing packages or other marketing material.

Interpersonal Skills

Candidate must have the ability to communicate well – to be able to explain the company’s marketing policies and research products to the REIS office personnel.  Must establish close relationships with management, executives and dept. personnel.

Required Knowledge and/or Experience

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office XP
  • Strong writing and editing skills, including spelling, grammar and punctuation
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Type 50+ WPM
  • 2+ years marketing experience preferred
